He said that this is a type of scam message and requested everyone to avoid such scam messages.
In a Facebook post on Friday (April 5) at noon, Professor Dr. AFM. Abdul Moin requested that “If anyone has received such a message, immediately inform me or the law enforcement agencies”. He thinks this could be another plot against him.
Before this, general diary (GD) was lodged at the capital’s Kotwali police station on Thursday night for allegedly sending scam messages through a fake email account using the name of Jagannath University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sadeka Halim. In this regard, Jagannath University Proctor Professor. Mohammad Jahangir Hossain said on Friday, that a GD was made at Kotwali Police Station on Thursday night in the case of opening fake mails in the name of the Vice-Chancellor and sending messages to various people. One of the Assistant Proctors lodged the GD on behalf of the University. Besides, the screenshots of the scam messages have been sent to the DB head office so that they can take action as per the ICT Act. The image of the university may get damaged in this incident.
