BCS Election results has been declared
The election of the Executive Committee of Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) for the term 2024-26 was held in a pleasant environment. Voting continued uninterruptedly from 9 am to 4 pm on Wednesday. Votes were taken from Central, Sylhet and Rangpur regions.
According to the result, Subrata Sarkar became the President of C&C Trade International and Md. Kamruzzaman Bhuiyan, the Secretary General. Md. Rashed Ali Bhuiyan has been elected as Vice President while Md. Manjurul Hasan as Joint General Secretary, Anisur Rahman as Treasurer and SM Wahiduzzaman HM Shah Newaz has been elected as Director.
1,466 out of 2,150 voters cast their votes in the 7-member central executive committee of the election. 29 votes were counted as invalid. Md. Kamruzzaman Bhuiyan of South Bengal Computer got highest number of votes counting 1345 votes among 9 candidates.
In addition, StarTech and Engineering Ltd. Rashed Ali Bhuiyan got 1345 votes, Anisur Rahman of Mizan Trade got 1333 votes; Techno Planet Systems Md. Manjurul Hasan got 1262 votes; HM Shah Newaz of Newaz Enterprises got 1219 votes; SM Wahiduzzaman of Micro Sun Systems got 1102 votes and Subrata Sarkar of C&C Trade International got 969 votes.
Birendra Nath Adhikari, Executive Director of Excel Intelligence Solutions Limited, served as the Chairman of the election board for counting votes on Wednesday in the evening. The Chief Executive Officer of Cyber Communication, Md. Nazmul Alam Bhuiyan (Jewel) and the proprietor of Computer Archives Md. Amir Hussain served as his assistant in the process of taking the vote.
After announcing the results, the Election Commissioner called for the formation of a new committee. He announced the distribution of posts after 20 minutes.
In addition, Engineer Chowdhury Md aslam, the owner of Advanced Computer Technology (ACT), served as the Chairman of the Election Appeal Board. Chief Executive of Massive Computers Sheikh Musa Kamal Mihir and Director of Business Land Limited Md. Hamid Ullah Khan also served as members of the Appellate Board.
