The temporary suspension of accreditation of the Department of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) of Bangladesh University, one of the private universities of the country, has been withdrawn. As a result of this order, from now on there is no obstacle in the admission of students in the pharmacy department of Bangladesh University.
Deputy Registrar (PR) Sohel Ahsan Nipu of the university informed this matter on Sunday. He said that on January 22, the Bangladesh University authorities were informed about the withdrawal of the suspension order through a letter signed by the secretary of the Bangladesh Pharmacy Council, Muhammad Mahbubul Haque.
Earlier, on December 21 last year, through a letter signed by the secretary of the Bangladesh Pharmacy Council, a decision was made to temporarily suspend the accreditation of BU’s B. Pharm course.
Notably, the Department of Pharmacy of Bangladesh University has been conducting its educational program since 2023 at the permanent campus of BU located in Adabor, Dhaka. Here, for the modern education of the students of the department, the necessary laboratory has been set up under the supervision of the experienced teaching staff, and the chemical materials of the lab have been kept in sufficient quantity. Besides, the university library has a sufficient collection of books required for the students.
