The 28th Dhaka International Trade Fair has been started today, on Sunday, January 21st. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the fair at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal near the capital at around 11:30 am. After the inauguration, the Prime Minister visited the Pavilion of Vista Electronics along with other pavilions. This time she spoke with the founders of Vista.
After announcing the inauguration of the fair, the Prime Minister entered the Bangabandhu Museum modeled after house number 32 in Dhanmondi at the entrance of the main cantonment of the Exhibition Centre. Where some rare photos of Bangabandhu have been placed.
Then the Prime Minister went to Hall ‘A’. The entrance of Hall ‘A’ is graced by the classic design of Vista Electronics Pavilion. Vista is an electronics manufacturing and marketing company registered in Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City. At that time, three founders of the organization were present at the Vista Pavilion. They are Vista Chairman Samsul Alam, Managing Director Lokman Hossain Akash and Director Uday Hakim.
The Prime Minister was pleased to know that Vista Electronics Limited is a registered manufacturing company at Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City. PM viewed Vista’s TV, AC, router, projector and home-kitchen appliance products. She also talked to the entrepreneurs.
Vista informed the Prime Minister that Bangladesh can earn a large amount of foreign exchange by exporting electronics products. There are endless opportunities to export electronics products all over the world. Its potential is also vast. Vista will soon begin exporting products to several countries including the US.
The entrepreneurs of Vista said that they are producing the best quality products in the world. As a new brand, their motto is to ensure quality. They want to win the hearts of customers with top quality products. They also said that the electronics industry is the most promising sector in Bangladesh. There is a huge demand for such products worldwide. So, it can be Bangladesh’s trump card for foreign exchange extraction. Also, if the government pays special attention to this sector, home-to-home industrialization is possible, thus unemployment can be eliminated.
During the visit to Vista Pavilion, the Prime Minister was accompanied by her Adviser on Private Sector Affairs Salman F Rahman, State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu, President of FBCCI Mahbubul Alam, Member of Parliament for Narayanganj-3 Constituency Kaiser Hasnat, Member of Parliament Film-actor Ferdous and others.
Later, Private Aviation and Tourism Minister Colonel (retd) Farooq Khan, former Jute and Textiles Minister Ghulam Dastgir Ghazi visited the Vista Pavilion.
This time, Vista Pavilion number 40-41is placed in the trade fair. Vista is located at the entrance to ‘A’.
The organizers of the fair are Ministry of Commerce and Export Development Bureau-EPB. Products from home and abroad are displayed in 351 pavilions, stalls and mini stalls in the 28th Dhaka International Trade Fair .
