Architect Yeafesh Osman as Science and Technology Minister and Zunaid Ahmed Palak as the Minister of State for the Posts & Telecommunications and ICT are remaining unchanged. Both of them served the previous cabinet as they are appointed in in the new cabinet after forming 12th parliament. Although both members of the 12th National Parliament are active in their previous duties, as an additional responsibility, the responsibility of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications is also on the shoulders of Palak.
Yeafesh Osman is in the Ministry of Science and Technology and Palak in the Posts and Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technology in the new cabinet.
This information is known from the order signed by the Secretary of the Council of Ministers Mahbub Hossain by the order of the President.
On Thursday evening, Yeafesh Osman along with 24 other ministers and Palak along with 10 state ministers were sworn in. Both of them also sworn to maintain official secrecy. After taking the oath, they signed their respective oaths.
Earlier, Sheikh Hasina took oath as the Prime Minister for the fifth time. She was also sworn in by the President Md. Sahabuddin.
There are 25 ministers and 11 state ministers in the 36-member cabinet. Whereas three ministers are now ministers from the state minister and deputy minister of the previous cabinet. They are Deputy Education Minister Muhibul Hasan Chowdhury, State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain and State Minister for Religious Affairs Faridul Haque Khan.
According to the newly distributed responsibilities, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hold the Cabinet Department, Ministry of Defense, Department of Armed Forces, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources; Responsibility of Ministry of Cultural Affairs and Ministry of Labor and Employment.
