This 12th December is being marked as the Smart Bangladesh Day. The soft launch of the piloting activities of Ami Probashi app is being started through 21 digital services On that day on Tuesday in 1000 digital centers of the country. And then the virtual assistant app ‘Sathi’ will also be launched. ‘Sathi’s interface has already been created.
Aspire to Innovate (a2i) has taken the initiative to deliver the app to the hands of people before the 12th National Assembly elections. According to sources, the development of Sathi app is funded by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (BTRC) from the SOF fund.
According to sources, the app will be connected to all government digital services, payment gateways and so on. If a mobile user wants to use Nagad or bKash, he doesn’t need to go to Nagad or bKash apps. They don’t have to use USSD code either. If you tell ‘Sathi’, you will be connected to Nagad or bKash. If you want to talk to a call center representative, Sathi will arrange to talk to you. If you want to get Grameenphone, Robi or Banglalink customer service, you have to tell Sathi even without using those apps. Sathi will connect with the operators’ customer service centers. As a result, customers will be able to do more tasks easily using mobile than before. Their life will be easier.
The State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technology Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak confirmed the media that the app will be launched between December 12-15. He said, ‘Sathi App’ will create smart connectivity for smart citizens. From this app, users will get information about all types of emergency services. According to sources, Sathi will be ‘integrated’ with the mobile SIMs. It will not activate on the set only if the SIM is activated in the mobile. It must be installed on mobile. But there will also be a system so that the user does not consume any data (internet) to download it.
So that the partner does not take any space (zero kilobytes) in the mobile is also being thought of. It can be used both in Smart and feature phones. Sathi needs to be downloaded from App Store or Play Store. It is also said that there are plans to add a chatbot with Sathi in the future for customer convenience.
