The 7th edition of the career competition was inaugurated on Tuesday at the conference room of Daffodil International University.
Daffodil International University’s Department of Journalism, Media and Communication and ATN Bangla jointly produced this event to find young people who are interested and promising in journalism, media and communication and in recognition of their work, they will be given the opportunity to enroll in the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication with 100 percent scholarship facilities. The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Golam Rahman, Advisor, JMC and Editor, Daily Ajker Patrika, Professor A. M.M. Hamidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities of Social Science, DIU, Hassan Ahamed Chowdhury Kiron, Advisor (News), ATN Bangla and Shafikul Islam Shamim, Chief Reporter, ATN Bangla.
Professor Dr. Golam Rahman, Adviser, JMC said, “In this century of media technology’s boom, campaigns like Be A Media Star help the needy yet talented students make their career in this sector.”
Hassan Ahamed Chowdhury Kiron, Advisor (News), ATN Bangla said, “I’m so happy that ATN Bangla is now going to be associated with such a fantastic campaign that would encourage students from all over the country to study in the journalism, media and communication field.”

The program ended with the unveiling of Be A Media Star’s new logo and a vote of thanks from both parties.
Since ‘Be A Media Star’s inception back in Summer 2021, the best contestants have been offered up to 100% scholarship for admission to the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication at Daffodil International University. So far, more than 21 students have availed this scholarship by showcasing their creative talents and currently reading at the department.
The ‘Be A Media Star’ talent hunt competition invites HSC graduates from all over Bangladesh to showcase their talent and compete in various categories, including journalism reports, Video Content production, film-making, infographic making, visual Storytelling, and photography. The contents of the winners will be broadcast in ATN Bangla.
