Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS), the country’s top organization of information technology organized the Distribution of Certificates among the new member followed by Iftar and Dua’ Mahfil were held on Wednesday, April 06 at BGB Banquet Hall in Dhanmondi of the capital.
Recently, 751 technology institutes from all over the country, including Dhaka, accepted the membership of BCS. 503 technical institutes in Dhaka and 248 in other districts outside Dhaka became the new members. In the presence of BCS President Engineer Subrata Sarkar, Vice President Rashed Ali Bhuiyan, Secretary General Kamruzzaman Bhuiyan and Treasurer Mohammad Nazrul Islam Helali, BCS certificates were distributed among the new members.
The BCS President Engineer Subrata Sarkar said, “In the month of Victory, we invited technology traders to become members with attractive discounts. We got tremendous response from all over the country. Out of around 950 applications, we have awarded membership to businessmen who are eligible and involved in technology business. There is no alternative to work unitedly to build a smart Bangladesh announced by the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. BCS is the first and largest IT organization in Bangladesh. Members are one of the driving forces of BCS. At present we are conducting our activities with 10 branches and more than 3500 members across the country. In continuation of this, as many ICT related institutions in the country, BCS is the guardian of every organization. With the joint efforts of all, we have shown the progress of Digital Bangladesh as a model to the whole world. We will be the pioneers of other countries in Smart Bangladesh.
BCS vice president. Rashed Ali Bhuiyan said, BCS is constantly working to enrich the IT sector. The scope of our work has spread beyond the country and abroad. BCS, one of the soldiers of Digital Bangladesh, is now working together with the government to transform Smart Bangladesh. This leading organization of the country, which has been working for three decades, has 10 branches and more than 3 thousand members across the country. To those of you who have joined us today, we welcome you on this journey with BCS.
BCS General Secretary Kamruzzaman Bhuiyan said that BCS has been implementing various programs throughout the year by giving priority to the members. Our members are making dedicated efforts to implement MRP and Warranty Policy 2023. But the more technology merchants we can connect with BCS, the easier it will be to make our ventures a success. Implementation of ERP Policy 2023 will benefit both consumers and merchants.
BCS treasurer Mohammad Nazrul Islam Helali said at the certificate distribution ceremony that BCS is a member-friendly organization as always. We believe that as more members join this organization, the scope of our work will increase. With the help of technology entrepreneurs we can easily implement any positive decision in the technology sector.
After the certificate distribution ceremony, BCS president Eng. Subrata Sarkar invited the invitees to participate in the Iftar party. While he expressed his conviction to take the ICT sector forward by working together with everyone, he said, ‘We can call the Iftar and Dua Mahfil of BCS as a great gathering of individuals related to the technology sector. BCS has been working since the beginning to enrich the information technology of the country and we will maintain this trend of development’.
