114 students of Holy Cross Girls’ High School visited the National Museum of Science and Technology today on Wednesday. The students had a great time at the science museum during this tour of about two hours.
The students visited various galleries and exhibits rich in industrial technology, information technology, physical science, space science. They boarded on a historic Titanic ship kept in the museum.
During the trip, they observe various natural and cosmic subjects, including the museum’s 4D movies. Students are also given an experience of earthquakes by riding them in the Earthquake simulator. Apart from this, fire safety training was organized for the students. A quiz competition was organized on the green lawn of the Science Museum with the excited students. It was won by Subhasree Sankar Pal, Mosammat Nusaiba Aktar Niti and Adiba Twaa won prizes taking part in the quiz.
The four teachers along with the winning students were awarded commemorative gifts by the science museum. Director General of National Museum of Science and Technology Mohammad Munir Chowdhury spoke to the students on the green lawn, “We have to create interest in science education. The light of science should be spread. Along with social discipline, religious values and discipline should be followed. He suggested the students to avoid mobile phone addiction and focus on studies and create bondage with nature. Parents and teachers should also be respected.”
