The government has taken an initiative to build one Technical Training Center in each upazila by 2025 for skill-based foreign employment. The first step in the implementation of the initiative is the establishment of 40 TTCs across the country. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated this work being connected online on July 28 last year. After that, one such technical training center has been constructed at a cost of 34 crores taka. Local Member of Parliament Zunaid Ahmed Palak inaugurated the newly built TTC building on Thursday afternoon. He said that the government is setting up such training centers to provide opportunities for work along with education.
Palak said that 17 crore people are getting services in Digital Bangladesh. Freelancers have found financial stability by working from home. Chalanbil’s children once had to go to Dhaka for higher education. But now they are able to get higher education in Singra. And today, the young generation of students will lead Bangladesh in 2041. Youngsters will be MPs, Ministers, DCs in future.
While speaking as the chief guest he said, many people can go abroad and earn more than ministers or MPs if they have language and technical knowledge. The state minister encouraged the youth to take technical education. We have to make that opportunity.
Palak said that not only the educated but also the less educated people will be able to work from the newly constructed technical training center. He said, 15,000 children will be able to go abroad after receiving training from Singra Technical Training Center. Besides, 12 students will be developed as skilled manpower every year in six trades.
‘We want to make every child a golden man to build the golden Bengal of Bangabandhu’s dream. The Prime Minster has gifted us educational institutions one after another for the five lakh people of Singra. There are 345 educational institutions including primary schools, high schools, madrasas, and technical colleges. In the next 5-10 years, 85 thousand children will enter the workforce. From this technical training center, not only the educated, but also the less educated people can work by getting training’ – added Palak.
