According to market research company Omdia’s survey in 2022, the South Korean brand Samsung was at the top of the global television market. Through this, the company has maintained 17 years of continuity.
Samsung has done a lot of work on their displays over the years. In fact, Samsung prioritizes its premium product lineup. An example of which is the brand’s Neo QLED lineup.
In 2006, Samsung’s ‘Bordeaux’ TV was the first modern design and light-weight LCD TV to enter the domestic market. That year, Samsung achieved the number one spot in the global television market for the first time. Similarly, Samsung introduced the first LED TV in 2009 and the first Smart TV in 2011.
Then in 2017, Samsung first brought QLED TV which literally defines the ‘next-gen’ display in the TV market. Its quantum dot technology makes it possible to achieve 100% color volume for the first time in the history of the industry. In line with this, in 2018 the brand introduced QLED ATK, Quantum Mini LED-backed Neo QLED, and in 2021 added self-illuminating micro LED technology to shake up the industry.
Also, Samsung’s strategy and success in bringing new categories like lifestyle series is undoubtedly enviable. In 2016, they brought lifestyle televisions like ‘The Serif’ and ‘The Frame’ with impeccable designs.
Samsung was recognized as the Best Local Brand in 2022 among other achievements due to its breakthrough screening technology and excellent customer service. And this time, the company also won the recognition of the best TV brand in Bangladesh at the Best Brand Award ceremony of Bangladesh Brand Forum.
Shahriar Bin Lutfar, Director and Head of Business, Samsung Consumer Electronics, said, “Samsung has been creating premium models of televisions with cutting-edge and innovative technologies for a long time. We are extremely proud and thrilled to have retained the top spot for the 17th consecutive year in this effort. We will continue our efforts in the future to make the TV viewing experience even more enjoyable for the customers”.
