In commemoration of Great Victory Day, Children’s Painting and Quiz Competition was held at the National Museum of Science and Technology today (27 December 2022). Students from various educational institutions from all over the country participated in it.
Science and Technology Minister Architect Yeafesh Osman delivered a speech as the chief guest at the post-competition function held at Science Museum in Agargaon of the capital.
Students and parents of various schools, colleges and educational institutions participated in the event. Architect Yeafesh Osman said to the students, “The way the girls of Bangladesh have conquered the Himalayas, they will take the whole world forward, including Bangladesh. Bangladesh is now in an enviable position in the world in terms of development, especially the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant is a shining example.”
He also said that the youth should advance with science. Especially the youth under the age of eighteen will compose the milestones of change in Bangladesh.”
In the event, 16 people were awarded by Science Museum in various categories. Besides, 4 bronze medal winners were honored in the 19th International Junior Science Olympiad.
Director General of National Museum of Science and Technology Mohammad Munir Chowdhury presided over the event. Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority Chairman Engineer Md Mozammel Haque, Bangladesh Council of Science and Industrial Research (BCSIR) Chairman Aftab Ali Sheikh and Bangladesh Science Popularization Association Vice President Munir Hasan also spoke in the event.
