Earlier in the morning, the head of the government attended the BGB Day parade at Bir Uttam Anwar Hossain parade ground of BGB headquarters. On the occasion, BGB honored the Prime Minister with a procession and parade. Sheikh Hasina presented medals to BGB members in recognition of their heroic and meritorious contribution to BGB. There is no substitute for training for a disciplined and efficient force. Never disturb the order. Perform assigned duties. Obey the command.
The Prime Minister said that BGB is now capable of carrying out its duties over water, land and air. ‘Smart Digital Surveillance and Tactical Border Response System’ has been deployed at vulnerable borders for flawless surveillance in the border areas of the country and countering inter-state terrorism.
