The role of robots in space exploration is essential. Robotics activities are involved in every space research. From the International Space Station to the ‘Chandra mission’ and the ‘Mars mission’, robots are being used everywhere. The recently invented robot ‘Perseverance’, which is currently stationed on Mars.
Various robots including this Perseverance robot are constantly helping us in space research by regularly sending various types of information about the planet.
The use of these robotics will increase in the future. Different fields of science, technology, mathematics and engineering are involved in the various activities of robotics.
In continuation of this, for the first time, Bangladesh Innovation Forum and Space Innovation Camp organized ‘Space Robotics Workshop’ on October 22 at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) campus.
Azadul Haque, the former system administrator of NASA, was present as the Chief Guest in the program. He said that the robotics workshop being held by these children today is sowing a seed of science and technology in the minds of the children. The results will start coming in 10 to 15 years by starting today. Today’s generation is getting interested in science and technology through this workshop and they will one day take our country forward.
About the organization of the workshop, Bangladesh Innovation Forum President Ariful Hasan Apu said, in this workshop, children will be shown the various activities of space robotics and what kind of activities the recently invented robots are doing on the planet, especially on Mars.
Apu also said that children will make robots in the workshop. 10 types of activities will be done with the robot made by them. Thus, they will learn to work in a team and solving problems. We believe that today’s generation is the future of space research in Bangladesh.
