Last September, a Brazilian court suspended sales of iPhones in the country for selling iPhones without chargers and fined 2.3 million dollars in this connection. Recently, the country has fined the technology giant once again. This time, the company have been fined by 19 million dollars.
According to the court’s ruling, Apple will have to send iPhones with chargers to the country.
According to the news, the court is showing reasons even though Apple is adamant about the decision to send iPhones without chargers in order to reduce carbon emissions. While earlier, the company provided the charger with the product, but now they want to force the customer to buy the chargers separately.
“It is clear that the defendant, under the pretext of a ‘green initiative’ justification, imposed on the customer the need to purchase a charger adapter, which was previously supplied with the product,” the country’s court said.
However, Apple said, it will appeal the decision.
