Hasina and Friends, a gaming platform for children and teenagers, was unveiled at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. through a countdown, hoping that the children will learn new things in a joyous environment, across the country. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak inaugurated the platform built under the initiative of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division.
The state minister said that Bangabandhu’s daughter has gifted a digital learning platform to children and teenagers on her platinum jubilee birthday to give children an opportunity to learn through joy. Everyone can participate using their avatar on the platform. There is no distance between rich and poor, village and city. Through this, children and teenagers can connect with the Prime Minister. They will learn by playing. They will also get prizes.
Bangladesh’s history, culture and continuity of development, values, and what will be the future generation’s path in this digital age; The future charioteers will be able to achieve that by playing stories and games on this platform every day. The state minister said that Sheikh Hasina’s Digital Bangladesh has connected everyone directly. Created interactive learning opportunities. Hasina & Friends.gov.bd domain can be used to learn about the environment, health, education and connectivity. They will also get prizes while playing. Every year Hasina and Friends Festival will be observed.
Stating that “Today’s children are the future of the future”, the state minister said that the aim of children is not only to be good students but also to be good human beings. In order to become a good person and a patriotic citizen, one should know Bangladesh and the history of Bangladesh’s liberation war. One should know the ideals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu and his political philosophy and grow up with a non-communal progressive democratic mind. Because with the development of the country, we have to become better people. Bangabandhu used to say that if we want to build a golden Bengal, we need golden people.
With the participation of about five hundred children and teenagers, State Minister Palak impressed by singing the song ‘আজ যে শিশু পৃথিবীর আলোতে এসেছে’ (The child who has come today on the Earth). Children also sang in unison. Senior Secretary of ICT Division NM Zeaul Alam, ICT Division’s Skill Development Project Director for Mobile Games and Applications Md. Anwar Hossain, iDEA Project Director Md. Altaf Hossain and others were present at that time.
At the end of the opening ceremony, the audience enjoyed the ‘Story of Ilisha Raja’ puppet show, dance and magic. The show was hosted by YouTuber Baap Ka Beta.
Before this, there was no learning platform for children, teenagers and young women. ‘Hasina and Friends’ is Bangladesh’s first own learning platform. The platform is made up of different educational stories and games for children, teenagers and young adults aged 6 to 16 years.

In the inaugural function, Minister of State for ICT Junaid Ahmed Palak introduced the Hasina and Friends platform to everyone and highlighted its importance. He highlighted how this platform will play a role in the development of fair talent for the next generation.
The program started with the National Anthem. Then the theme song and animated video of Hasina and Friends was shown; A simple video tutorial teaches you how to use the platform.
The last part of the program was the cutting of the birthday cake of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the distribution of interesting gifts and delicious food among children and teenagers. The program ended with the slogan ‘Kheli Sikhi Pratidin’ with the aim that our next generation will learn something new every day, through playing the game.
