The third blockchain Olympiad Bangladesh is going to start on Monday at Krishibid Institute of Bangladesh (KIB) in the capital. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak will inaugurate the three-day competition at 10:30 am in the hope of inspiring and empowering. 60 teams are taking part in this year’s competition. These teams have made it to the finals out of the 180 projects submitted. Apart from showcasing their innovations, four seminars will be held with local and foreign experts.
Habibullah Niyamul Karim, Convener of Blockchain Olympiad Bangladesh and chairman of Technohaven Company Limited, conveyed this information at a press conference held at ICT Tower on Sunday.
Bangladesh Computer Council Executive Director by Dr. Abdul Mannan presided over the conference where NM Zeaul Alam, Senior Secretary, ICT Department, joined virtually. At the time, the senior secretary said that blockchain is the foundation technology that has changed the world. The government is doing its best to involve the youth in this technology.
After the press conference, Habibullah Niyamul Karim told DigiBangla that the range of block chain Olympiad is gradually increasing. Young people are interested in blockchain to ensure transparency and participation in security, safety and efficient account management. Various innovative solutions are enriching our country. We hope that this time maybe they will be encouraged to use blockchain in Padma Bridge too.
