Although he is comfortable shopping physically from market, television personality Abdun Noor Tushar said that he became interested in e-commerce during the Covid19 pandemic. When people start doing e-commerce businesses, they start comparing them with Jeff Bezos or Jack Ma. The reality is, when people buy your products, they buy those on trust in you. So, the biggest challenge here in meeting their expectations is the refund and return policy. As much as it improves, the business in this sector will start growing faster.
Praising the present EC committee of e-Cab, he added, “You have done a wonderful job in Covid19 pandemic. In fact, you have met the national need. People couldn’t really understand your need without the pandemic. As the Covid has given you such a business opportunity. You too have stood by the people. This was not possible for the government. I think this is a great achievement for you. And the biggest weakness is that, even though, the governments in the world are pro-active and works for the businessmen, you had to go to the government and explain everything – what is the escrow system, what is the business model; You had to make your own laws; You had to do it again to find out the faults. Everyone will realize your contribution in the next 10 years. They will understand, what you have done for so long.”
Abdun Noor Tushar, one of the constructive critics of the e-commerce sector, said this while speaking at the Sampritir Mancha (A stage for friendship) held at a restaurant in Banani on Monday night on the occasion of the election of the fourth biennial executive committee of e-Cab.
Welcoming the enthusiasm of the candidates in the e-Cab election, the leaders of the sector suggested that no one should go in a negative direction about the election and take the organization forward in unison after the victory.
Among them, ISPAB President Imdadul Haque said that in order to lead the organization, one has to lose business. But even then, when I can do something for the member organizations, I am satisfied to forget it. So, the organization benefits a lot from those who are not very focused on business or making profit. So, whoever gets elected should keep in mind that they will not be able to grow such a business in next 3 years.
BASIS President Russell T. Ahmed said making promises out of capacity proves as a boomerang for candidates. It is inappropriate for voters to be fooled by sweet talk. Because, in such an election, the MDs and CEOs of an organization get that smell even before they vote.
Former BCS president Shahid-ul-Munir said that no matter who won the election, the fact that 36 candidates had applied for the post would make it clear that they loved the organization. We all come together to take the e-Cab forward.
E-Cab President Somi Kaiser said, “Today I am remembering our first President Rajib Bhai. Because even after he left the post of president of e-Cab, I got a lot of support from him. Besides, the contribution of Last EC and committee has made e-Cab as vibrant as it is today. They certainly deserve thanks. Although it is a thankless job. There is no way to blame the committee if one or two of the members commit slander. To prevent this, however, we will be monitored for six months before confirming membership in the future. I will move forward by filling the gaps in the work places. I will do it with everyone.

After the candidates of the Agragami panel headed by Shami Kaiser, e-Cab Finance Secretary Mohammad Abdul Haq Anu also spoke. At this time, he highlighted the touching events of the establishment of e-Cab. “When we set up the e-Cab, we had to raise a hefty sum within two days for the registration process,” he said. Then I, Tamal and Rajib Bhai shared this money. Tears came to my eyes when I came to know that Rajib Bhai had sell his wife’s gold ornaments and deposited his share of the money. Today, however, we are proud to have led e-Cab to the place where we have led for the last 10 years, resulting 36 e-Cab stars have expressed interest in leading the organization today.
