The newly appointed ISPAB Executive Committee has met the city mayors after taking responsibility in the interest of ensuring uninterrupted internet connection service in the capital. A 13-member committee headed by President Imdadul Haque paid a courtesy call on Dhaka South Mayor Barrister Fazle Noor Taposh on Thursday.
In the courtesy call, 6 new proposals were made by ISPAB, including not cutting the new internet cables.
The mayor of Dhaka South said that the proposals should be taken into consideration and given in written form. At the same time, the mayor suggested that a committee be formed to find out which way the underground internet road or ‘DAK’ can be built in the new roads that are being constructed.
At this time Secretary General Nazmul Karim Bhuiyan, Senior Vice President Saiful Islam, Vice President Md. Anwarul Azim, Joint Secretary General. Abdul Qayyum Rashed and Mohammad Anwar Hossain and Treasurer Md. Asaduzzaman was present.
In addition, ISPAB director Sakif Ahmed, Md. Zakir Hossain, Mahbub Alam, AM Kamaluddin Ahmed Selim, Fouad Muhammad Sharfuddin and Md. Nasiruddin were also present at the courtesy call.
According to ISPAB sources, ISPAB leaders will meet Dhaka North Mayor Atiqur Rahman next week on the same issue.
