Calling the training of women in technology as an investment, the Minister of Education Dr. Dipu Moni opined, in this case, the investment of 1 dollar can get 10 dollars return. “Investing in women is the smartest investment,” she added. If you invest one dollar on a woman, you get 9 dollars back. When you invest in a woman, her benefits go to everyone in the family. And that’s why Coders Trust’s investment is a smart investment.
Speaking at an event organized by Coders Trust Bangladesh at the BIAM Auditorium in the capital’s Eskaton on Thursday evening (December 23), the Education Minister emphasized the importance of women’s involvement in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Other speakers at the event, chaired by Aziz Ahmed, a Bangladeshi-American IT entrepreneur and founder of Coders Trust Bangladesh, said that most of the jobs that existed at the time would not exist when the children who started going to school today would enter the professional world. With the advent of information technology, the type of work is constantly changing. Everyone has to change over time. Information technology-based skills can provide the opportunity for change.
Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said in her speech as the chief guest that besides general education, any kind of technological knowledge transforms a person into a skilled manpower. So, everyone has to have the mentality of gaining such education and training.
The Education Minister said that the strength of the youth is leading the country on the path of success today. Young people need to acquire more IT skills.
Dr. Dipu Moni Praising the initiative of Coders Trust, said that such an initiative in advancing women in the technology sector is truly playing an important role in the process of building a digital Bangladesh of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
“What Coders Trust is doing today is creating a lot more entrepreneurs,” she said. They will not look for jobs rather they will be able to create many more employment opportunities at one stage of time. And that’s where Coders Trust’s success lies.
For two years, Coders Trust Bangladesh has trained one thousand young unemployed and disadvantaged women in different parts of the country with IT training. After successfully completing the course, these women are now earning a living from the world market. Coders Trust Bangladesh organized the event to celebrate their success, award certificates and reward the best performers.
Aziz Ahmed, founder of Coders Trust Bangladesh, called upon the women trained in IT training to join the IT sector in the world market. “Join us, we help each other,” he said. We extend a helping hand to those who are still lagging behind in this regard.
