Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has held scientific meetings and workshops on robotic surgery and laparoscopy. On Monday (December 20) at Shaheed Dr. Milon Hall of the University, the meeting and workshop was jointly organized by the Department of Urology and the Bangladesh Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS).
BSMMU Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Chhoyef Uddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest. Honorable Proctor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and President of Bangladesh Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) Prof. Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman Dulal presided over the program.
The keynote speaker was Dr. Motahar Ahmed, Associate Professor of Seton Hall University Medical School, Clifton, USA.
This important scientific session and workshop was conducted by Prof. Dr. Touhid Mohammad Saiful Hossain Dipu, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Professor of Urology and Secretary General of the Bangladesh Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS). The session was attended by urology specialists of the country and students of urology department.
Speaking as the chief guest, Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Chhoyef Uddin Ahmed said, “The present administration of this university under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Md. Sharfuddin Ahmed, Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University is working relentlessly to ensure world class medical services in the country. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University has all kinds of advanced surgery facilities. Even then, the university will ensure that medical services, including world-class surgeries, can be provided with the use of the latest technology in all types of surgeries. The only goal is to implement the aim of ensuring the availability of medical treatment inside the country both for VIPs along with the common people of the country, and do not have to go abroad for treatment.”
