Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB), an organization of Internet service providers, has won a full panel election for the 2021-2023 term.
Emdadul Haque, Director of Optimax Communications Limited, got the highest 142 votes in the general members’ panel. Nazmul Karim Bhuiya, Managing Director of KS Network Limited got 140 votes and Saiful Islam Siddique, Managing Director of ICC Communications Limited got 129 votes.
From the same panel, Md. Anwarul Azim, CEO of Chittagong Telecom Services Ltd. got 126 votes; Md. Zakir Hossain, Chairman of Unified Core Ltd., got 119 votes; Md. Asaduzzaman of Antarang.com, got 116 votes; Mahbubur Rahman Raju, Chief of Circle Network got 113 votes; Sakif Ahmed, Chief executive of Link Ltd. Got 108 votes and Md. Abdul Qayyum Rashed of Triangle Services Ltd. was elected getting 101 votes.
On the other hand, among the Associate Members, from the team Durdanta panel, Mohammad Anwar Hossain of Sun Online got 296 votes, Fuad Muhammad Sharfuddin of Fisa Communication got 294 votes, Mohammad Nasir Uddin got 262 votes and AM Kamal Uddin Ahmed Selim of BSL Online Service got 258 votes.
The results were announced by Md. Nazrul Islam Babu as the Chairman of the Election Management Board at 8 pm on Saturday after the voting took place from 10 am to 4 pm.
Abdullah H. Kafi, Managing Director of JAN Associates Ltd. and Birendra Nath Adhikari, Director of Excel Technologies Ltd. and Chief Executive Officer of Information and Communication Technology Industry Skills Development Council were also present at the announcement ceremony on the second floor of the Emanuel Party Center in Gulshan, Dhaka.
The 13 people elect will distribute the posts in the executive committee from among themselves on December 13.
