India is developing anti-drone technology to counter the growing threat of drones at the borders. Home Minister of India Amit Shah said that the technology will soon be handed over to the Indian Border Security Force.
Amit Shah told BSF members in the western border town of Jaisalmer that “in response to the drone threat, the BSF, NSG and DRDO are working together on anti-drone defense measures.”
“I have full confidence on our scientists,” he said in a statement on the anniversary of the founding of the Indian Border Security Force on Sunday. Soon our country will have a domestic anti-drone system.”
This is the first time the BSF is celebrating its founding anniversary near the India-Pakistan border, the Indian Express reported.
