A legal notice has been issued to five people from Bangladesh, including Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The notice called on the recipients of the notice to take action in accordance with international policy to prevent the misuse of Facebook.
In addition to Zuckerberg, the notice has been sent to the chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), the secretary of the Ministry of Information Technology, the secretary of home (public security) and the director general of the digital security agency.
Within three days of receipt of the notice, the notice recipients have been given time to take necessary action. Otherwise, legal action will be taken against them for asking remedy, the notice said.
The notice was sent by registered post on Thursday (November 18) on behalf of four persons, including journalist Selim Samad, their lawyer Taposh Kanti Bal said.
