Startups will be the main driving force of our future economy, for those we want to build an innovation ecosystem. The ‘Vision 2021 Tower’ will be at the core of our focus on building this innovation ecosystem. This tower will be the main focus of the knowledge-based economy of the whole of Bangladesh which will be associated with 10 more universities.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak expressed such optimism while addressing a function to hand over land to the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works to build ‘Vision 2021 Tower-2’ in the conference room of Software Technology Park on Thursday.
“I see a lot of instability in the e-commerce sector for the last few days, but as the state minister for ICT, I want to assure you that e-commerce will expand,” he said. All businesses are getting bound slowly to go digital. In order to bring back the rules, laws and discipline in this sector, we, the public and private sectors, have to play a responsible role so that the growing industry is not harmed. And take appropriate action.
A 12-storey Vision 2021 tower will be constructed in Karwan Bazar with five main targets, the state minister said.
ABM Amin Ullah Nuri, Chairman, Capital Development Authority was present as the special guest on the occasion.
Khandaker Azizul Islam, Additional Secretary of the Department of Information and Communication Technology was also present in the program.
