The government is going to make business completely digital. Therefore, not only to save time and cost but also to move the country forward in the global index, as well as to get out of the hazards of formality by making the company registration process more digital.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi made the remarks while attending a webinar titled ‘Removing Time, Cost and Process Related Bottlenecks in Company Registration in Bangladesh’ on Sunday.
From his office in Dhaka, he virtually attended the seminar, jointly organized by the Business Initiative Leading Department (BILD) and USAID.
Speaking as the chief guest, the minister said that now traders are getting company registration services digitally in a very short time and at a low cost. This benefit will increase in the future.
The Commerce Minister said the government is working not only to reduce time and cost but also to make more visible improvements in ‘Ease of Doing Business’ through necessary reforms in the future.
BILD’s Chief Executive Officer Ferdous Ara Begum presented the keynote address at the webinar conducted by BILD’s Chairperson Abul Kashem Khan.
Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh, Acting Deputy Office Director of Feed the Future Office of Economic Growth USAID Mrs. Rebecca Monikeyala, Feed the Future Bangladesh Improving Trade and Business Enabling Environment of Environment Activities were present as Special guests on the occasion.
