After the e-Cab had sent show-cause notices to 10 e-commerce companies including evaly and Alesha Mart, bKash has suspended transactions with these companies.
The rest of the companies are Dhamaka Shopping, E-Orange, Sirajganj Shop, Needs, Kyukum, Aladiner Prodip, Adian Mart and Boom Boom.
The bKash authority has temporarily stopped the service with a notification on Saturday. The decision was taken to protect the interests of the customer, the statement said.
In this regard, Shamsuddin Haider, the head of the communication department of bKash informed that the services for these 10 companies have been suspended.
However, their business practices are being closely monitored. The ban will be lifted if a satisfactory situation is created.
Earlier on June 22, BRAC Bank canceled its purchase agreements with these 10 companies through credit, debit and pre-paid cards. On June 23, Bank Asia and Dhaka Bank; and on June 24 Mutual Trust Bank also suspended the use of their cards with those companies to secure the interest of the customers.
It is learned that bKash had agreements with call these 10 companies but the observation of bKash has come up that these e-commerce companies were not conducting business following the proper rules.
