Bangladesh High-Tech Park Authority has awarded National Integrity Award to two officials in recognition of their work in the financial year 2020-21. They are Narottam Pal, deputy director of the organization and Anwar Hossain, computer typist office assistant.
Maintaining the social distance, Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, the managing director handed over the honorary mementos and certificates to the winners at the monthly coordination meeting held at the meeting room of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority at ICT Tower in Agargaon on Monday.
At the meeting, the managing director of the Hi-Tech Park Authority said, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority is a new body. This company started its journey on this day in 2010. Employees of all levels of this organization have been discharging their responsibilities and duties according to their own skills and qualifications. The Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority is making steady progress with the joint efforts of all. As a result of the award for the Integrity Practice introduced by the Cabinet Division, I think all the employees of the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority will perform their duties with more dedication and wisdom, including the Integrity Practice.
Deputy Director Narottam Pal, who received the National Integrity Award this time, said, “It is a great honor for me to receive the award for the Integrity Practice introduced by the Cabinet Division. “This award will further inspire me to faithfully carry out my institutional responsibilities. I am very grateful to the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority for nominating me for this award.
In this context, in the 4th point of paragraph 2.1.3 of the National Integrity Strategy, an incentive and reward system has been introduced for the employees of the executive department for practicing integrity. In order to encourage the practice of integrity, the action plan of all ministries/divisions/agencies has included the awarding of integrity award for government officials and employees.
In view of this, the government has formulated the ‘Integrity Award Policy, 2017’. The policy has directed to select One employee from Grade-1 to Grade-10 and one employee from Grade-11 to Grade-20 in case of awarding prizes. In this case, there is a specific evaluation system for the selection of qualified employees. In the overall evaluation, Narottam Pal, Deputy Director (Operations and Maintenance), Grade 1-10, got the highest number of 97 marks and Anwar Hossain, who got grade 11-20, got the highest number of 92 marks and was selected for the National Integrity Award in the financial year 2020-2021. An order was issued on June 6 in this regard.
