Speaking as the chief guest, he said, “Not only Digital Bangladesh, our talented youth will lead the digital world. If we want to make them capable and establish them in the leadership of Digital Bangladesh and the Digital World; We must learn the language of programming and computer. Then they will hold their positions and fulfill their dreams with their talent and hard work. But at least, we need to teach them programming, only then we can offer them the opportunities to fulfill their great dreams.”
Highlighting the various initiatives taken by the government to fulfill this dream, the state minister said, “If you know the language of technology, you can communicate in all the languages of the world. In near future, when the driverless cars will run, you will need to know the programming to run them.”
He further said that in collaboration with BUET, we have developed a software called ‘Bhashaguru’ for learning 9 types of languages. That means if you can create software instead of learning new languages, if you have that application, if you learn the language of technology without learning Spanish or Arabic, you can communicate in 90 languages of the world.
Palak also said that programming education is being added to the textbooks of the primary levels next year to implement this goal. Besides, the state minister also promised to organize a programming contest in Bangladesh with the largest number of students in the future.
