Daraz, the country’s largest online marketplace, recently signed a strategic partnership agreement with the country’s first re-commerce brand, Swap. The deal will create new opportunities for smartphone lovers and technology fans to use smartphones.
Syed Mostahidul Haque, Managing Director of Daraz Bangladesh and Parvez Hossain, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Swap & Liveware BD Limited were present on behalf of the two companies at a signing ceremony of a virtual agreement recently.
Under the agreement, if a customer sells his old electronic products through the Swap app or its website, he will receive a voucher of up to taka 6,000 with the price (sale) of the product. Later, the customer will be able to buy a new phone from the online marketplace ‘Daraz’ using this voucher. This attractive offer for customers will continue till 13th May.
Syed Mostahidul Haque, managing director of Daraz, said, “The number of smartphone users is increasing day by day in our country. And this partnership is from trying to do something for these users. The new deal offers a great opportunity to sell old electronic devices and buy new phones from Daraz at a much lower price than the original price using Swap vouchers. We believe this offer will give smartphone users the opportunity to buy the smartphone of their choice this Eid.
Parvez Hossain, Managing Director and CEO of SWAP, said, “Hopefully, this partnership will help us and Daraz’s customers get genuine products more easily and at affordable prices, while at the same time helping us build a greener Bangladesh by reducing e-waste and environmental pollution.”
