After the 47-minute animation film Mujib Amar Pita, a film on Bangabandhu, the 45-minute animation film Mujib Bhai on Bangabandhu’s childhood and the 27-minute Russell Amader Chhotto Sona 3D animation, this time about Bangabandhu’s childhood, the fourth animation series ‘Khoka’ has been produced by the ICT Division was released on Sunday at the Cineplex of Novo theater in the capital. In the morning, the ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak enjoyed the 47-minute season-1 with the students of various educational institutions, hospital nurses, journalists and the crew of the animation film.
Speaking to reporters earlier, the state minister said that, Khoka will premiere on television every Friday from November 10. After that, the 47-minute animation movie will be released on YouTube and Facebook through OTT. The movie will be as long as around 110 minutes. The movie will highlight the childhood and youth of Bangabandhu.
Palak said, we want to present the philosophy and ideals of Bangabandhu to the children to build a smart generation that solves the problems of non-communal spirit inspired by patriotism. They get encouragement to develop like Bangabandhu. If they develop with the ideals of Bangabandhu; then they will be worthy for their families, for the country and for the world.
Stating that the country will benefit in the long term through the development of creative culture, the state minister said that the animation industry market in the world is now worth 400 billion dollars. The Prime Minister has set up an animation lab at Dhaka University Fine Arts Institute to utilize the talent of the country’s youth to get our fair share in this market. I believe animation will be one of the most profitable sectors to outsource. To encourage that, we have done animation labs in 40 universities of the country under the Mobile Apps and Games project. This time we are undertaking a new project to create animation. By making thousands of young people as animators, we can build an animation industry in the country in the smart economy of the future.
The Curator of Military Museum, mobile and game project managers, developers and top executives from Mars Solutions, Team Associates, Magic Image and Prolancer Studio were also present at that time.
