This time technology has been added to the idols of Sanatan Hindus. Robotic sensors and hands have been used on the head of Durga accompanied by Swaraswati, Lakshmi, Kartik and Ganesha during the ongoing Durga Puja Festival. And to see the idol of robotic Durga, many people from home and abroad are flocking to the temporary mandap set up at Krishibid Institute in the capital.
It was seen in the Mandap that, the robotic idol of Durga is killing the demon Mahishasura i.e. the traitor with the tri-shul with the front robotic arm. At that time, the sound of sighing and shouting was heard. After destroying the demons and providing for the welfare, Durga‘s voice says, ‘I appear in every era to kill the demon’.
Durga Puja is going on. Eco-friendly materials and robotic technology have also been added. The Pujamandap Committee of Khamarbari was the first to do such in Bangladesh.
This is the first time such technology has been used in a temple or worship hall in Bangladesh. And this work has been done by a team led by Professor Bibhut Ranjan Das of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of BUET. One of the members of this team is Swarup Chanda, a final year student of the same faculty. His father, agriculturist Sameer Chanda, Sanatan Samajkalyan Sangha president and the president of this mandap said that, some students of BUET, including his son, started the work of making this statue three months ago under the leadership of BUET teacher, with the concept of Smart Bangladesh.
He said that their mandap was opened on Friday night at 8:30 pm. Since then many people are flocking. Even some visitors came from outside the country to see the robotic Durga. Many Sanatan Hindus from neighboring countries including Kolkata, Barasat expressed their fascination with this event.
