The National Cyber Drill was held on Saturday with professional cyber armies of telcos, banks, MFS, financial institutions and government and private sector to prove their cyber capabilities. 30 teams, who qualified online, participated in the competition which started from 10 am and ended at 4 pm at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) campus located in Mirpur in the capital.
Computer Incident Response Team BGD e-GOV CIRT of ICT Department regularly organizes this drill every year. Earlier, Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) selected 30 teams out of 65 teams from affiliated organizations and financial institutions through an online competition for the final competition on October 7 (Saturday). Union Bank’s UBL-Eagle stood first, United Commercial Bank’s team became second and Rupali Bank’s RBL Cyber Warriors stood third.
First Security Islami Bank was leading by getting 207 marks till the last news in Saturday’s competition. After that on the dash board United Commercial Bank team was seen in the second position by getting 197 marks and Prime Bank was in the third position by getting 180 marks. Next was Bangladesh Bank, Union Bank’s UBL-Eagle and Mutual Trust Bank’s team Cyber Savvy. But this is not the final result. As a result, the contestants are now waiting to name the team of the year.
