About 95 percent of cyber incidents in the world happen due to lack of awareness and knowledge. Bangladesh is not out of it. Aspire Services, a cyber security company led by Bangladeshi technicians and consisting of cyber experts from Germany, US and UK, has brought the issue of security from awareness to a platform after the theft of information from the central bank Bangladesh and eventually launched Aspire Security Awareness Web Platform.
Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited Chairman Dr Shahjahan Mahmud inaugurated this platform on Tuesday (October 10) at a restaurant in Gulshan.
Abubakar Hanif, Chancelor of Washington University, BASIS President Russell T Ahmed, Amazon US Cloud Division Head Mahadi Uz Zaman, Daffodil University Professor Dr. Tofiq Bhuiyan, Bangladesh Bank System Analyst SM Tofail Ahmed and CTO Forum President Tapan Kanti Sarkar were also present as special guests.
Aspire Tech Services and Solutions Chairman Ainul Ahmed Tanzil presided over the official opening ceremony of the online platform ‘ASAT’ (Aspire Security Awareness Training Platform) with system analysts and top officials of IT branches of public and private financial institutions. Company Director Abdullah Bin Haroon, Head of Business Imran Hossain and others were also present.
Imran Hossain said, this online platform has 160 contents in 3 modules. In the meantime, about 50 public and private institutions including 20 banks have been added to this platform. Apart from taking online training by joining this platform, the position of the trainee’s skill development is also known. Not only Bangladesh; Their cyber awareness and security tools are being used in several countries including the US, Nepal and Brazil.
