In addition to 165 food and 480 tectatiles of 80 branches of 4 chapters from different parts of the country, a two-day WE Summit 2023 has been going on at Nabaratna hall of the international Convention City, Bashundhara in the capital. WE Singapore, UK and Malaysia chapters also joined the fourth conference of online women entrepreneurs with the intention to embrace future possibilities. Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak gave a video message wishing the success of the program. State Minister for Culture KM Khalid will inaugurate the conference after the formal speech.
WE Trust advisor Zahanur Kabir Shakib delivered the welcome speech at the conference on Friday morning. In his speech, he said to the entrepreneurs present, ‘Stay awake, keep stuck. Success will come.’

WE President Nasima Akhtar Nisha presided over the event. World Bank Operations Officer Gayle Martin, US Embassy Economic Officer Jessam Gartner, Controller of CCA A. T. M. Ziaul Islam, Hitech Park Authority Managing Director GSM Zafar Ullah, Daraz COO Khandaker Tasfin Alam, MGI Director Barrister Tasneem Mustafa and others were present at the ongoing event.
The operation officer of the World Bank Gayle Martin expressed the hope that this initiative of the WE will play an important role in the development of socio-economic conditions of Bangladesh in addition to the empowerment of women. He said that the World Bank is also working for the entrepreneurs of Bangladesh. From marginal e-commerce to SME entrepreneurs are working to make digital platforms accessible. The ICT Division has played the most leading role in this work along with the World Bank. We are the country’s largest platform for working with women. He thanked the marginalized women who worked to deliver their products globally.
In his speech, Tasfeen Alam said that Daraz has launched a new platform ‘MyBiz’ to give women opportunities in social business. He said, as the largest e-commerce platform in the country, Daraz has been working with entrepreneurs in the country since its inception. Now they have brought a special app for such entrepreneurs. Women entrepreneurs will be connected to this platform in the future and will get many benefits there.
Barrister Tasnim Mustafa, director of MGI Group, told about women becoming entrepreneurs in the light of her own life experience. He said, it is very difficult for women to become entrepreneurs in our society. It is very difficult to move forward. MGI Group also said that it provides any legal assistance to women.
Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park GSM Zafarullah said that the country has been dared to take the vision of building a smart Bangladesh by relying on the youth. We for Youth has become a platform where thousands of women entrepreneurs have been created. A call was given and thousands of entrepreneurs came forward. The spontaneity I have seen in women entrepreneurs when I come here is to move forward, not look back.
CCA Controller ATM Ziaul Islam delivered the welcome speech at the opening ceremony. He said, we work with the entrepreneurs who are working from the rural level. Wee is a platform with lakhs of members working to advance e-commerce in the country. We will now proceed with Smart Bangladesh Vision. For those of you who are entrepreneurs, we believe that public-private partnerships will lead the way. At this time, he thanked the entrepreneurs of all sectors for working together.
