Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited Paytm, the technology partner of Nagad, the country’s fastest growing mobile financial services company, and got an idea about its UPI, participating in the G-20 Summit in New Delhi at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
At this time, the Honorable Prime Minister took an idea from the Paytm officials about how important the contribution of mobile transactions is to the mainstream economy of the country in building a cashless Bangladesh.
India’s Paytm is currently providing technical support to Nagad Limited to make digital transactions more secure for customers. As a result, customers’ cash accounts are now more secure than other mobile financial services.
Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina joined the ‘G-20 Summit’ which began with the participation of the leaders of the world’s 20 major economic groups in New Delhi, the capital of India, on Saturday morning. Earlier, when the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh arrived at the conference venue, he was welcomed by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
In this year’s G-20 Summit under the presidency of India under the theme of ‘One World, One Family, One Future’, Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and other world leaders will discuss about the digital transformation, climate finance, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS), food security, Russia-Ukraine war economic and social Discuss and find solutions to a number of important global issues, including the impact and capacity building of multilateral development banks.
Besides, Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will highlight how to deal with challenges like climate change, economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic, severe disruption of global supply of essential commodities like fuel, food and fertilizers due to war in Europe.
