A petition has been filed in a Nepalese court against the short video sharing website TikTok to ban the app, alleging various criminal activities including misuse and revenue evasion.
This information has been given in a report of Nepal-based media E-Pardafus. It is said that Yuvraj Safal, coordinator of Nepal Samajwadi Morcha Party, has filed this petition.
According to the petition, the social media app TikTok is being operated without any proper rules. Due to which obscenity and various types of criminal acts are spreading across the country (Nepal) through this app.
The app is also evading the country’s revenue even though it is financially profitable through the game.
In such a context, this socialist leader appealed to stop TikTok temporarily before operating the TikTok application with proper permission.
