‘Huawei Bangladesh Fusion Solar Summit 2023’ was held at Huawei Bangladesh Academy to shed light on the potential and future of renewable energy in the country. The summit highlighted the potential of fusion solar technology and the concerted efforts required to increase the use of renewable energy for a prosperous Bangladesh.
The Chief Guest, Member of Bangladesh Power Development Board (Planning and Development) Engineer Md. Mizanur Rahman said, “In order to make Bangladesh’s power sector self-sufficient, we need to focus on renewable energy like solar power. Joint efforts of all stakeholders are necessary to ensure sustainable energy for the future of the country. I am hopeful that Huawei’s digital power solution will play a supporting role in this regard.”
Liang Weixing, Managing Director of Huawei South Asia Digital Power Business Department, said, “Renewable energy is the most important at present. As of June 2023, we have generated 845.5 billion kilowatt-hours of green power for consumers. This has saved 35.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity. Huawei is working tirelessly to build a better world through cutting-edge innovation and intelligent upgrades. Our efforts will continue to build a prosperous future for Bangladesh by harnessing the potential of digital power solutions.”
Simpa Solar Limited General Manager Govind Majumdar presented his practical experience as an expert in this sector. More than 120 industry leaders, sector-experts and partners participated in this event.
In the event, several sessions were organized emphasizing the various applications of solar energy and the necessary technologies. The session discussed important topics like how fusion solar utilities can increase smart PV power generation, enabling the country to use renewable energy, importance of energy storage systems in ensuring uninterrupted power supply and different fusion solar solutions for commercial, residential and industrial sectors.
