Due to a technical fault, trains on a Metrorail line have reportedly stopped. But the train is running through another line.
On Monday (August 21) from 9:30 am, a train came from Uttara to Agargaon line after delaying about 1 hour.
In this regard, the Metrorail authorities said that a mechanical fault was seen in a coach at Kazipara station at 9 am. Later the passengers were alighted from the coach. At this time, the train ran on one line. As a result, normal movement was stopped. Metrorail is now moving on one line.
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) Director (Operation) Nasir Uddin said, Metrorail has two lines side by side. The emergency brake of a train was pressed due to some reason this morning. Due to this, the train is stuck on a line. Therefore, metro rail movement has been stopped on that line. But the train is running on another line.
Earlier on August 9 after 9:30 in the morning, the authorities stopped the movement of the metro when a technical problem occurred. After overcoming the technical problem, the metro rail service resumed after about two and a half hours.
