On the fifth day of his visit to India, Minister of State for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak visited the Healthcare Technology Innovation Center in Chennai and held a meeting with the India Cyber Security Authority.
During the visit, Jayaraj Joseph, Research Coordinator, IIT Madras Research Park briefed the Minister of State about new innovative healthcare technologies. Shelley Salehin, Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Chennai and Md. Arifur Rahman, First Secretary of Chennai Mission and Md. Mushfiqur Rahman, Private Secretary of the Minister were present at this time.
Earlier on Saturday, Palak called for investment in Bangladesh in a meeting with UK Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology Paul Scully. On the same day, he held separate meetings with the representatives of G20 and guest countries, including Singapore’s Minister of Communications and Information Josephine Teo, Netherlands’ Secretary of State for Interior and Kingdom Affairs Alexandra Carla van Hafelen, UNDP Assistant Secretary General Ulrika Moder.
The Minister of State for ICT is scheduled to visit the Smart City Delhi project besides meeting with Startup India authorities in New Delhi on Monday. After the tour, he will come back home on August 23.
