After the two-day conference in Chattogram, the Divisional BPO conference held for the first time ended on Thursday evening at the Zilla Shilpakala Academy Auditorium. Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury joined the closing ceremony over phone from London. Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman presided over the event. The BACCO General Secretary Tauhid Hossain highlighted the various initiatives taken to help young graduates to develop their skills and provide employment. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Director of Finance and Administration Department of IST Directorate, BACCO Director Md. Fazlul Haque, Ahmedul Islam Babu, TMGB President Md. Kaushar Uddin and BIGF Executive Member Imdadul Haque spoke on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner Abul BasHar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman highlighted the various steps taken to make Chattogram the first smart district of the country while speaking as president.
Earlier in the morning, the Deputy Commissioner called for training on ‘Workplace Health and Safety’ in the policy dialogue session titled ‘Fostering BPO Industry to Achieve Smart Bangladesh’ in the meeting room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Mahfuz-ul-Haq Chayan, chairman of the local market development sub-committee of BACCO, highlighted the ongoing initiatives, scope of work and future plans to develop the skills of the fresh graduates in the meeting held with government officials, entrepreneurs and academics.
