The day-long Divisional BPO conference concluded on Thursday with the commitment to turn Barisal division into a hub for freelancers by honoring local freelancers. In addition to the discussion and review of smart employment roadmap, fifty some freelancers and two hundred job aspirants from different parts of Barisal Division participated in the job fair at Dhansidi of District Circuit House. Ayesha Services Limited (ASL BPO), Skytech Solutions, Joy Computer Limited, Twenty Four Seven Virtual Assistants and Jubisoft Limited participated in the fair as employers.
In the afternoon, while speaking as the chief guest, Barisal Divisional Commissioner Md. Amin ul Ahsan stressed on smartness of intellect and mind in smart employment.
He said there is no substitute for skill development in smart employment during the fourth industrial revolution. Therefore, the government is working tirelessly with private institutions to develop practical skills from book knowledge or certificate oriented education.
The Deputy Commissioner of Barisal Md. Jahangir Hossain presided over the conference. A special guest at the conference Dr. Md. Iqbal Kabir, a Professor of Health Service Department under the Ministry of Health and Family Planning expressed the hope that by analyzing the data of the young job candidates obtained at the Divisional level conference, BACCO will contribute to the creation of smart employment opportunities.
Also, Vice President of Technology Media Guild Bangladesh-TMGB Moidul Islam urged the youth to get out of the mindset of burning certificates by highlighting the success of successful freelancers who are physically disabled with the power of the Internet. Tanjiba Rahman, director of the organization, expressed a similar opinion and highlighted how BACCO is working on skill development. Mr. Mridha Md. Mahfuz-ul-Haq Chayan, Chairman of BACCO Local Market Development Sub-Committee delivered the closing speech.
BACCO director Musnad E Ahmed said that the CVs submitted in the job fair will be verified and shared with the 315 organizations that are members of BACCO to arrange jobs for all those who are eligible. If necessary, BPO will take initiative to improve the skills of the applicants.

After listening to the success stories of three freelancers, the top officials assured the freelancers of Barisal’s all-round cooperation.
