Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has started survey activities with the help of drones from Mohammadpur in the city to identify mosquito breeding places in rooftop gardens. And in the next four days, the houses of the city will be surveyed through five separate drones. In addition, from July 8, the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) area will be running a continuous one-month crush program, said the organization’s chief executive officer Md. Salim Reza.
He informed so while starting the survey program to identify the mosquito breeding ground in the roof gardens with the help of drones at 11 am on Wednesday (July 5) in Mohammadpur.
Md. Salim Reza said, we are using drones to kill Aedes mosquitoes, whether there is water on the roof of the house or not, whether the environment is suitable for mosquito breeding or not. In the next few days, a survey of the roofs of houses and houses in the area under DNCC will be done through individual drones. And for these surveys it is not possible to reach the workers on the roof of every house, so we are using drones. Apart from conducting survey, if such situation is found on the roof of any house, our mobile court will levy fine.
He also said that DNCC conducts various activities throughout the year to control Aedes mosquitoes. Aedes mosquito infestation has increased during this time. Since Aedes mosquitoes breed in clear water, everyone should be aware and throw away the accumulated water in different containers at home. If everyone is not aware, it will be difficult to control the Aedes mosquito, so it is important for everyone to be aware.
