Tech Gala Night was held with business partners of Walton and Intel. Intel, one of the world’s top technology companies based in the United States, and Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited, the tech giant of Bangladesh jointly organized this event.
In this gala night held at La Méridien Hotel in the capital on Thursday evening, both the companies showcased their technology products in the market and various advanced technologies to the business partners. It was attended by senior officials of various government and private institutions.
Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC Advisor Major General (retd.) Ibn Fazal Shaikhuzzaman, DMD Nazrul Islam Sarkar and Eva Rizwana Nilu, Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited Additional Managing Director Liaquat Ali, Walton Senior Executive Director Mohammad Shahzada Salim, Executive Director Zeenat Hakim, Chief Business Officer of Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited Tauhidur Rahman Raad and others were present in the event.
The company’s field application engineer Boon Hau Po and Country Manager for Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan Zia Manjur briefed the partners about Intel’s upcoming products by joining the event online.

In his welcome speech, Walton Digi-Tech Industries AMD Liaquat Ali said that Bangladesh is moving ahead in the IT sector in keeping with the world. The objective of independence was to make the country industrial and to achieve self-reliance by exporting ‘Made in Bangladesh’ products. Walton has been working towards this goal since its inception. The country is now self-sufficient in electronics and technology manufacturing. In addition to electronics products, our activities and scope are also increasing in the technology products export sector.
Zia Manjur while speaking said that since 2016, Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited has been working as a co-partner of Intel. The company is manufacturing and selling various types of laptops suitable for students including gaming, simulation. Walton is working extensively in Bangladesh’s technology manufacturing sector, which we are reaping the benefits of. Walton is bringing technology within reach of people. Walton is experiencing tremendous growth in IT. In view of which Walton Digi-Tech has received Intel’s Market Acceleration Award-2023 as the first Bangladeshi company. It is a matter of pride for Bangladesh.
Tauhidur Rahman Raad gave a lively and informative presentation about the activities of Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited in the country’s technology sector. He said Walton Digi-Tech currently produces 37 types of products under 24 brands. All Walton Digi-Tech products are available at Walton’s 636 retail shops across the country. Customers too are getting the fastest after-sales service from around 100 service centers across the country.
Walton Digi-Tech has been developing products over time, he said, from 2024, Walton digital devices with ultra-core processors are coming to the market. At the same time, Walton will unveil the 13th and 14th generation products. There will be products with DDR5 RAM.
He said, Walton released a new graphics card called Intel Arc in the market. Currently the most interesting product in the market is Walton’s all-in-one PC. Bangladesh’s Walton has one of the largest PCB and PCBA manufacturing plants in South Asia. Walton has a motherboard manufacturing industry that is fully automated or robotic. High-tech products such as RAM and SSD are being manufactured in its own manufacturing plant. Along with hardware, we are giving more importance to software. We have an ecosystem of digital device products.
He also presented various information about Pi Pi Business Software, HRM, Bench Education, MDM etc. developed by Walton Digi-Tech’s own software development division.
