ICT State Minister watched ‘Mujib Bhai’ accompanied by street children
The last sun of independent Bengal was set in Palashi on June 23; the 74th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Awami League taking place on June 23; On June 23, a special screening of the full-length animation film ‘Mujib Bhai’, based on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s ‘Unfinished Autobiography’, was shown at the Star Cineplex in Shimanta Sambhar of the capital. Next week, the animation film Mujib Bhai, funded by ICT Division’s mobile games and application skill development project, will be officially released at Cineplex. It will be shown in theaters for a week or two. Then the film will be shown for a month on over the top platforms in the country. After July it will be open to all on television-YouTube. Also, special screen shows will be shown on big screens in schools and colleges across the country.
The State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak enjoyed this 45-minute non-stop special screening show with families of deprived and underprivileged street children, media workers and artisans.
While talking to the journalists before the exhibition, the state minister urged the owners of Cinema halls to show the film on Eid to enjoy the pure joy of children and teenagers. He said, in order for the animation industry to develop as one of the driving forces of the ICT industry in Bangladesh, a state-of-the-art animation lab is being set up in Dhaka University at a cost of about 10 crore taka, which is nearing completion. Awaiting opening. We have developed around 16 thousand skilled workforce under skill development scheme for mobile games and applications. I have done testing labs in 40 universities. Foreign exchange will be earned through smart employment creation by establishing Bangladesh as an animation hub to the world in the future.
At the same time, another animation film, Russell Sona, will be released next August.
Additional Secretary of ICT Department Naved Shafiullah, Mobile Games and Application Development Skill Development Project Director Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Assistant Programmer Sarwar Hossain and others were also present at the premiere show.
The story of the film is written by Ajay Dasgupta, dialogues and screenplay by Adnan Adeeb Khan. The film is directed by Chandan Kumar Burman and Sohail Mohammed Rana. The film is produced by the Department of Information and Communication Technology and the main executive producers are Zeenat Farzana, Arif Mohammad and Md. Shafiul Alam.
The research lead of the film was Tanmoy Ahmed, the project advisor was Mustafa Muhammad Hossain and the executive producer was Bayjid Khan Rahul. The film was developed through the Skill Development Project on Mobile Games and Applications of the Department of Information and Communication Technology.
The film’s animation was developed by Technomagic Pvt. Ltd and its subsidiary was Hyper Tag Ltd.
