A seminar titled ‘Education-4.0’ was held under the initiative of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh.
The seminar was held on Monday (19 June 2023) in the meeting room of the university’s administrative building. The main article was presented by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahfuzul Islam. While presenting the main article, the vice-chancellor said that in the third industrial revolution there were computers, internet – these are now backdated. Now we have to move into a new era. Because the world is changing very fast. Our education system needs to incorporate the education of the fourth industrial revolution.
Dr. Muhammad Mahfuzul Islam also said that in the fourth industrial revolution, machines will work without human instruction. Technology should truly be put to work for people and the kind of technical education needed to make use of it should be included in our curriculum, including programming and coding knowledge.
He said, if we can make our students skilled in technical education, then we can lead the world in technology by creating our own technology and at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh, we have prepared the curriculum of each department considering the fourth and fifth industrial revolution. .
He mentioned the outcome based education system along with the traditional education and explained the need for tutorial based education system, where the learning of the students would be enjoyable rather than boring. Through discussion among themselves, students will come up with new problems and explore ways to solve them.
He also sheds light on the characteristics of an ideal questioner and how to make continuous assessment of a student more effective.

Ashrafuzzaman presided over the training. During this time IQAC Assistant Director and Lecturer of Basic Mathematics Mr. Sujan Chandra Sutradhar, IOT and Robotics Engineering Department Chairman Samsuddin Ahmed along with the teachers of all departments of the university participated in the seminar.
