A ‘Learning Management System’ software called ‘DUBDLMS’ was inaugurated on Wednesday to bring the students of Dhaka University under the control of class, courses and examination management automation.
This ‘Learning Management System’ software was developed under the leadership of Professor Dr. Mohammad Asif Hussain Khan, ICT Cell Director of Dhaka University. The university authorities have expressed hope that the results can be published quickly by evaluating the answer sheets of the students through this software.
DU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman was present as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the software. The ceremony took place at the Professor Abdul Matin Chowdhury Virtual Classroom of the university.
Meanwhile, Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Muhammad Samad, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof. Dr. ASM Maqsood Kamal, Treasurer Professor Mumtaz Uddin Ahmed and Deans of various faculties, teachers and staff were present on the occasion.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman sincerely congratulated and thanked the ICT cell director and related parties for developing this software and said that this innovation is to prevent the educational program of the university from being hindered in any adverse situation. By accessing this software, class activities, attendance of students in classes, management of courses, direct marking according to examination regulations and results can be published in a quickly manner.
He also said that appropriate steps have been taken to ensure the security of information in this software. Workshops and training will be organized to facilitate the use of this software for teachers and students. The Vice-Chancellor expressed optimism that the teachers and students of Dhaka University will benefit from this and the quality of education will increase further.
