The State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak inaugurated the 10-bed ‘1000days.Life Hospital & Diagnostic Center’ at Rajarampur village after laying the foundation stone of the proposed Joy Set Center at Phulbari Upazila of Dinajpur district on Sunday. In the opening ceremony of this second branch after Khulna, the company’s chairman Castel Yode, Managing Director Mostafizur Rahman, Norway’s ambassador to Bangladesh Aspen Richter-Vendsen, Fulbari upazila Nirbahi Officer Muhammad Wasiqul Islam, Additional Superintendent of Police Jinnah Al Mamun, Engineer Golam Kibria Chowdhury of West Zone Gas Company were present.
While speaking as the chief guest, the ICT State Minister promised to establish one Sheikh Russell Digital Computer Lab in each educational institution of Rajarampur Union.
He said, we want to build a healthy, strong, bright, creative smart generation. Those who will be very modern and future-oriented and creative citizens in knowledge, education, intelligence, conscience. And for that we are setting digital labs at the classes in every school. We are providing online education to eliminate disparity in education, we have connected our one hundred and nine thousand institutes to high speed internet. We are providing telemedicine services in the villages, which means that people no longer have to go to the city for health services.
Citing the American President John F. Kennedy, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”, the State minister said, ‘That is, what can you do for the country without thinking about what the state did for you? This is what we should all think. We should try to serve the country with the maximum amount for the country. As a patriotic citizen to make Bangladesh the golden Bangladesh of Bangabandhu’s dream’ – added Palak.
Earlier, while laying the foundation stone of Joy Set Center at Phulbari Upazila Parishad Complex Building, the State Minister said that 56 ministries will get services from this center of 5 thousand square meters. It will be the future destination for services, training and employment. It is also a smart economy hub.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Muhammad Wasikul Islam attended the opening ceremony as a special guest, Additional Superintendent of Police of Fulbari Circle and Sadar Circle Sheikh Md. Jinnah Al Mamun, Additional Deputy Commissioner Education and ICT Farzana Rahman, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Zafar Arif Chowdhury, Bangladesh Awami League Fulbari Upazila Branch General Secretary Mushfiqur Rahman Babul, Upazila Engineer (LGED) Md. Mizanur Rahman, Upazila Assistant Program Officer (ICT) Mosammat Taslima Khatun, Phulbari police station officer-in-charge Ashraful Islam and others also attended the program.
