Electric car maker Tesla CEO Elon Musk has once again topped the list of the world’s richest people. On Wednesday (May 31), Musk overtook Arnault as shares in French tycoon Bernard Arnault’s LVMH fell 2.6 %.
This information was revealed in a report by the American media CNN on Wednesday (May 31).
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Musk’s net worth is currently around $192 billion. In second place is Bernard Arnault, chairman of fashion mogul and luxury goods manufacturer LVMH, with a net worth of $187 billion.
The 74-year-old Arnault took the title of the richest person from Musk last December. But since then, they have overtaken each other in the wealth gap several times.
LVMH shares are up 19.7 % this year, while Tesla shares are up 65.6 % over the same period. As a result, Musk’s total assets have also seen a big jump.
