NCC Bank is going to introduce the facility of cash withdrawal from any ATM booth in the country free of charge or at no cost. Apart from the bank’s own 142 ATMs and 10 CRMs, there is no cost to withdraw money from ATMs of other banks. NCC Bank’s managing director Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid conveyed this good news on the 30th anniversary of the bank.
Mamdudur Rashid said that the decision to draw cash charge free from another bank’s ATM has already been made. However, due to technical reasons, it may take next week or 10 days for customers to get the facility. Currently, a customer of one bank has to pay Tk.15 per transaction to withdraw money from another bank’s ATM booth. Besides, card issuing bank pays Tk. 5 for each custome.
He also said that NCC Bank has been able to achieve various targets despite various adversities. The institution, which started as an investment company, started functioning as a commercial bank on May 17, 1993 under the name National Credit and Commerce Bank. At present services are provided through 125 branches and 6 sub-branches.
Additional Managing Director M. Shamsul Arefin, DMD. Mahbub Alam, Md. Rafat Ulla Khan, M Ashek Rahman, Md. Zakir Anam and others officials were present.
